It's the same process as our transmission work. We find the problem first, give you a written estimate and don't touch anything until you say OK.
Doing both also keeps us honest about transmissions. Some problems that feel like a bad transmission turn out to be something else, like an engine misfire or a worn mount.

South Florida is hard on cars
Heat and humidity take a toll. AC systems work hard most of the year. Cooling systems run hot in traffic. Batteries often don't last as long in the heat as they do in cooler places. Belts and hoses take a beating too, and a cracked belt or a soft hose is easy to replace before it fails. Staying ahead of those things helps you avoid a breakdown on I-95 or State Road 7 in the middle of summer.

A code tells you where to look, not always which part failed. We read the codes, then test the circuit or part the code points to before recommending a repair. That way you pay for the fix, not for guesses.
How it works
Every job starts with finding the problem. You get a written estimate before any work, nothing gets done without your OK, and if something changes, we call you first. We're on State Road 7 in Plantation, a few blocks south of Broward Boulevard, open Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.
Questions about auto repair
Do you only work on transmissions?
No. Transmissions are our specialty, but we also do general auto repair and maintenance: engine diagnostics and repair, brakes, steering and suspension, AC and heating, cooling systems, electrical work and oil changes.
Can you diagnose a check engine light?
Yes. We scan the codes and then test to find the cause, since a code tells you where to look, not always which part failed. You get a written estimate before any repair.
Do you do oil changes?
